Tough weekend for Horgmo in Russia!

Tough weekend for Horgmo in Russia!

The third round of the EMX250 Championship didn’t go according to plan for CreyMert’s Kevin Horgmo. The Norwegian ended up twenty-ninth and nineteenth in the moto’s which meant he only picked up two championship points. Italian rider, Nicholas Lapucci won round three of the championship.

The weekend started off okay for Horgmo as he put in the fourteenth quickest qualifying time but he’d have wanted to show more in the races. However, Horgmo took a bad start in the first moto and was outside the top twenty. He was able to break into the top twenty before taking a crash which meant he ended up the first moto a disappointing twenty-ninth position and no points.

Just like the first moto, Horgmo took a bad start in the second moto as he was outside the top twenty-five. Horgmo slowly but surely made passes to work his way through the pack. He managed to make two late passes to come home in nineteenth position and earn two hard fought points.

Next race:

The next race for the team is the third round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross taking place at Mill on the 6th of May. Horgmo will be in action with David Braceras having commitments to racing in Spain. The EMX championships will resume on the 12th and 13th of May for both riders.

Kevin Horgmo: “It was an awesome experience to go to Russia, unfortunately I didn’t find any good rhythm on the track and was struggling all weekend”.
