Tony Alessi: Supercross back in September/October
Tony Alessi has revealed the new supercross schedule that is being tentatively pencilled in in order to complete the 2020 season.
The MCR team manager, who is selling off some team bikes, said: “The soonest we have been told we can race again is September 18th so the indication is that supercross will take place between the end of September and the end of October to finish those seven rounds.”
With the US Nationals scheduled to run from June until the 5th of September, it means a quick turnaround back to supercross for riders who usually spend three months at the practice track before A1.
With an injury in outdoors that could ruin their supercross title chances, you have to wonder how much of a distraction the supercross championship will for Roczen and Tomac during outdoors, who as so close to the title they’ve been chasing for years! It’s not an easy situation for anyone, and that’s before you realise the MXoN is now in the middle of the supercross and MXGP season!
