Eli Tomac is hoping to ride the 2019 Kawasaki at Red Bud and says he is ready battle Jeffrey Herlings for the win!

The quiet but determined newly-crowned 2018 US motocross champ says he will be testing the 2019 machine during the break.

”There is a little bit of downtime, but we have the new bike to work on. I’m really looking forward to that it’s an exciting bike, it’s going to be good for us. We are going to get that ready for the Motocross of Nations and I don’t think it will be an issue at all to get comfy on that thing and get right back up to speed.”

Asked whether he is looking forward to racing Herilngs, Tomac said: “Absolutely, any time you get to race those guys we get to go to battle. It’s cool it’s coming to the home field this year and we are going to give it our all, Red Bud is going to be extra special.”

After Herlings beat Tomac on his home turf in the AMA and US GP last year, Tomac will no doubt be extra motivated for Red Bud and once more has home track advantage.

It should be an epic race if they get away together, with both riders known for their hard work and blistering speed, but wouldn’t it be cool to see Eli race a full World championship against the Dutchman to see where he really stands in comparison?

  1. I would love to see one our American racers in their prime race the GPs instead of racing when they’re washed up or can’t get a ride in the U.S.

  2. The bullet has to race sx Tomac wont go to europe.tomac should retire & go there for world cup dh xc & ews.destroy his dads records.
