Tomac and McElrath win at Muddy Creek!

Tomac and McElrath win at Muddy Creek!

Eli Tomac overcame a bad start in race two to rescue the overall win going 3-1 on a wide open but increasingly slick track at Muddy Creek.

Justin Barcia rode great all day on the fast track to take second overall with an apt 2-2 score.

Marvin Musquin went down on lap one in moto one and came right through to fifth but took the win in race two to only lose four points to Tomac in the championship.

In the 250 class Jeremy Martin won race onr but a big crash on lap one of race two left Martin worryingly lying on the side of the track holding his back and struggling to move, the two time champ was stretched off on a back-board but the word is he was moving his legs in the medical centre although there is still no official word on his status.

Race two was led by big brother Alex Martin until the last lap when he went down and handed second place man Dylan Ferrandis, who had been pressuring Martin all moto, the race win and second overall on the podium in his second race back from injury.

It all gave Shane McElrath his first ever AMA outdoor overall win with an impressive 3-2 score.
