The return of Brian Hsu – Prince of Paris!

The return of Brian Hsu – Prince of Paris!

It has been a torrid last two years for the former 125 and 85 world champion, Brian Hsu.

The German was expected to grow into a leading contender for the MX2 world championship when he graduated from EMX, but instead, thanks to injuries and team troubles, the technical talent has hardly been on a race track in two years!

But now he is back and back winning! Hsu was very impressive in Paris beating indoor experts Jace Owen and Thomas Do and the most impressive part of his racing was possibly his corner speed.

The contrast in style between American Owen, who won the event last year, couldn’t have been more stark. Owen was quick in the whoops but Hsu’s GP corner speed would give him the edge in the turns and eventually allow him to edge away and win both main events and the overall SX2 class against good opposition.

He has reminded everyone of his talent and great technique, so let’s hope Hsu can get back into MX2 next season and really show his true potential at world level again in motocross.
