Talviku impresses at Lacapelle Marival

Talviku impresses at Lacapelle Marival

Young Estonian, Jörgen-Matthias Talviku is moving up from racing the 125cc to the 250cc machine in 2020 and the Lacapelle Marival was very encouraging for the ASA United Husqvarna rider.

Talviku showed he has very good speed and battled with established MX2 GP riders all day long. In the first moto Talviku ended up a superb fifth place. In moto two he made a couple of mistakes but still came home in ninth for seventh overall in the MX2 class.

If Talviku can continue with that kind of speed he should be right at the front in the EMX250 series as well as the British Championship. It’s worth keeping an eye on Talviku as he has a lot of potential for the future.

“My day started with positive vibes in Free Practice (P9) and in Timed Qualifying (P12).
▪️Race 1- Great start, and fight all race with fast guys from GP and EMX. I finished P5, which was mega!! I hold my position from start to finish. I think I surprised myself a little, and others.
▪️Race 2- Even better start, I was P3, but two stupid mistakes cost some places after lap 1, and P8 it was. I dropped back one more position and ended this race in 9th! My speed was there and were able to fight with the boys all race!
Overall 7th in MX2, and really happy about that.
▪️Superfinal (with MX1) – The goal was just enjoy my day and learn from the best! Started off with TOP15 in start and ended P22 (8th in MX2). So great way to end my day in Lacapelle. Positive vibes only!

At the end I’m really happy about my two International races. The level was high, and everything has been great for me! Now off to Belgium, to be as ready as possible, for EMX Valkenswaard. It was a good journey in Spain and in France and i want to thank all the people, who were involved.
Thank you Harri, Lisett, Harry, Milky, Priit, Mehis and Karl for helping me out, it was great time with you. Also, a huge respect to all my sponsors and fans”, Talviku stated.
