One rider that really improved in the EMX125 championship this year was young Italian, Andrea Bonacorsi. Despite picking up an injury and not scoring any points during the final two rounds he ended up fifteenth in the championship. Without the injury there would have been a good chance he’d have ended up in the top ten.
The highlight for Bonacorsi during the season has to be Lommel as he finished fourth in both of the moto’s to secure a step on the box as he ended up third overall.
For the 2019 season, Bonacorsi will stay on KTM machinery but makes the move to the Celestini KTM team. The young Italian will be hoping to be a consistent top five rider in 2019.
The team have also confirmed that Mirko Valsecchi will stay with the team to contest the EMX125 series. Emilio Scuteri will also stay with the team but makes a move up to the 250cc.
Andrea Bonacorsi: “I’m really happy to go to this amazing team for 2019. In the EMX125 series next year I will do all I can to be one of the best riders in the championship and I hope for the same in the Italian championship”.
