Suzuki disband R&D department in US

Kris Keefer reported on the Pulp MX show that Suzuki has fired the people from the Research & Development department in America. With this, the brand from Hamamatsu has dissolved its R&D department in the USA.

It means the manufacturer continued on the path already taken in other areas. The manufacturer also saved on their AMA Superbike program, which was run for years by the Yoshimura R&D department, and will now be run by “Team Hammer”. This is because the latter team can do this cheaper than the Yoshimura R&D team.

Unfortunately, the same story is said to be coming soon for the Joe Gibbs Racing team, which would be replaced as the official Suzuki team by the HEP team after this season.
