Conrad Mewse will not be racing in Mantova this weekend and instead will be getting surgery on his injured wrist, sustained at the British championship at Canada Heights on Sunday,

Mewse gave the update on social media, saying: “A big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to send me their best wishes…I had a little set back last Sunday at round 3 of the British Championships, which caused a wrist injury and has resulted in having surgery this Friday… Thank you for all of your support, it means a lot and I will be back in action as soon as I can.”

It’s a bitter blow for Mewse who has been in superb form this season but hasn’t always had the luck needed to get the results his speed has deserved, especially in the Grand Prix events.
