Stuart Edmonds signs with CCR!

In 2016 Corcoran Chemicals Racing will be back in full swing competing with two riders in the British, Irish and other selected championships as well as a junior rider in the 65cc class. CCR will team up again with TM Racing for 2016 fielding 450fi and 250fi models which have been well proven in the world championships this year. We are pleased to bring Laurence Spence in as team manager for 2016 who will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team and riders.

In MX1 we will be fielding Stuart Edmonds who is no stranger to the TM machinery or the British championship. The last season he ran on TM his season ended early due to injury but results were very good. We will be hoping for good results from him.

Stuart: “Im glad to have secured the deal so early and to be back on the blue Tm 450fi. I have not tested the bike yet but the last time i rode it my results were good and i have only heard good things about the new changes that Tm factory have made to the bike since then. I just have to say thanks to Metcon CCR Tm for giving me the opportunity again to ride under their awning and i’ll bring them the result we both want. Its great to be running along side Dylan as well. I have seen him ride since he was in the automatics and i have had numerous opportunities to train him since he was young. He has matured on a bike very well and is showing promising speed these last few years. I think pointing him in the rite directions and a good team behind him like Metcon CCR Tm he will grow in speed tremendously.  Its also a pleasure to  have Laurence Spence as team manager and having him fight in my corner is an advantage, i have worked with him when i rode for team Ireland and his work ethic is great so I cant wait to work with Laurence and the team in 2016. I would like to thank the team, my sponsors and to everyone that has been behind me these past few years.”

In the MX2/MXY2 class we are pleased to announce that young rider Dylan Stynes will be riding for us. Dylan is the current under 21 and B champion back home. We are looking forward to seeing his progression throughout the year.

Dylan: “I’m super excited to be a part of the MetCon CCR TM team in 2016. I have ridden the TM 250fi before and feel very comfortable on the bike. I’m really looking forward to racing in England and being part of the team. Also it is great to be wearing FOX gear again for 2016. I’d just like to thank everyone at Metcon CCR TM, Corcoran Chemicals and Nickie and Gavin Craigie at CCM Racing for the opportunity and for making all this possible.”

In the junior class young Jake Farrelly will be riding a 65cc and we look forward to a great year with him. He impressed us riding the 65cc this year and was an easy choice when looking for a young talent that we can nurture and bring up through the ranks.

Team owner Andrew Byrne:
“Working again with Stuart and starting a cultivating programme for Irish Youth motocross in experiencing  British motocross championship is exciting opportunity for Metcon CCR racing in 2016. Having Laurance on board can only bring the team into another level with his experience and leadership and very much looking forward in achieving our Team goals”.

Metcon: “Corcoran Chemicals and CCM Racing has brought together an unbelievable team and back up from TM for 2016. It’s a credit to them and we are grateful to be part of this set up for 2016. The experience, talent and knowledge to succeed of Laurence spence as team manager will be a huge benefit to the team. Stuey is an undeniable factor bringing already national and international success. Dylan stynes is young, smooth, fast and will progress hugely with the experience and knowledge available to him and Jake Farrelly being so young will benefit from the experience of being involved. Roll on 2016!”

Laurence Spence: ”Looking forward to the new challenge of working with Stuart and trying to break into consistency top 6 results in the Maxxis British Championship whilst looking for steady improvement in our youth rider (D.Stynes) results in the MXY2 and Irish Championship.
