Young Dutch talent, Scott Smulders had a good year on his 85cc finishing third in the Dutch Masters championship. Smulders showed some good speed over the course of the season but had to be content with third in the Dutch championship behind de Wolf and Karssemakers.
However, all three riders have now confirmed they will make the move to the EMX125 Championship in 2019. Smulders has inked a two deal with the No Fear Jumbo BT Motorsport team which will see him on a Husqvarna. Ex GP rider, Bas Verhoeven over sees things at that team so the young Dutch talent is in good hands for the future.
Scott Smulders: “The team called my dad and made a really good offer for the next 2 years. My expectations are firstly to qualify and then after that to ride some good races. I’d like to thank Bas Verhoeven for this opportunity and for believing in me”.
