Shaun Simpson has been dealing with a urine infection since last weekend and it hasn’t improved since taking a heavy dose of antibiotics.
The Scot took the decision to fly home and miss round thirteen of the MXGP World Championship in Semarang.
The goal will be to return to racing at Loket in two weeks time.
Simpson posted the following update on social media:
Flight home isn’t what you want to see on Saturday morning of a GP. ✈ But the facts are since last weekend I’ve been battling a urine infection which hasn’t improved all week even after a heavy dose of antibiotics.💊 We decided last night that the best option was to get back and run some proper tests to get to the bottom of the issue and regain some strength in the body. 📝 It’s been a rough ride but as they say what doesn’t kill you and all that…. 😏Focused on being healthy for Loket in two weeks. 🏴 | #motivation #loket #gethealthy #getonwithit #noexcuses #playthehandyouredealt #shaunsimpson #simpsonarmy #twofour
