Young Norwegian rider, Sander Agard-Michelsen has signed a deal with Yamaha for the 2018 season. He will move to Yamaha after being with TM for the last three years.

The following statement was posted on social media:

In 2018, Sander Agard-Michelsen will make the switch to Yamaha after three years with TM. Sander will ride for Yamaha Europe on a Yamaha YZ250f.

He will compete in the Dutch Masters of Motocross and the EMX250 as the main competitions.

The 18-year-old is very pleased with Yamaha’s offer, where he will form his own team and also be part of the official Yamaha team with support from Yamaha Europe.

Sander Agard-Michelsen: “I am very pleased with this agreement and hope to be able to show a lot in the coming season. The feeling with Yamaha is very good and I will do all I can to achieve good results. My dream has always been to run the World Championship, and with this opportunity, I’m a big step closer. It’s not time to rest because I’m going to train the whole of January with the Yamaha team in Sardinia (Italy), and I’ll also run some races there.

I want to thank the Van de Vegt family for everything they have done for me. Special thanks to Yannick van der Vegt and Danny Nijman who have always been there for me. Without them I would never have been here today. I would also like to thank all my sponsors and hope you all will be in touch in 2018.”
