A few weeks ago we heard for the first time that Pauls Jonass might be heading to the Ice One Rockstar Husqvarna team for his rookie season in the MXGP World Championship.
At first we were sceptical about the rumour, however it’s started gathering pace and a reliable source in the paddock has confirmed to us the deal is looking on for the 2019 season.
Jonass who won the 2017 MX2 World Championship for the first time and is battling hard with Jorge Prado to win the championship for the second consecutive time before making the move to the MXGP World Championship next year.
Should the deal happen, Jonass is likely to partner Arminas Jasikonis under the Ice One Husqvarna in an all new rider line up. It would be a young team and perhaps a team for the future so hopefully they don’t have too much pressure on them in 2019 if the pair do end up with the team.
