With the Factory Kawasaki and Factory Suzuki team’s leaving the MX2 World Championship over the past year there could be more bad news in store for the series if rumours are to be believed.
We have heard from a source in the GP paddock that the 8Biano Racing team will quit after the MXGP of Germany which is taking place this weekend. It’s thought budget is a problem and that they won’t be able to continue.
It would be a massive blow to the series as it would be another team leaving the paddock.
Iker Larrañaga and Brent van Doninck are currently with the team and it would leave them without a ride after only eight rounds of the series.
Larrañaga has shown some really good pace over the last few GP’s and currently sits fourteenth in the series while van Doninck sits in twenty-second.
Fingers crossed if the 8Biano team does step away from racing that the two riders can pick up rides elsewhere and won’t have to miss any GP’s.
We will continue to update you with the situation as and if we hear anymore news.
