Ken Roczen wasn’t happy with his performance at Red Bud, saying he struggled with set-up and he didn’t deliver the results he was hoping for but the newly married German says he is ready to build up for 2019.
Roczen had looked good on the Saturday finishing second to Cairoli, but couldn’t stay with the Italian and didn’t have Herlings’ pace either. Sunday then proved more difficult with a first turn crash in race one and dropping back to ninth in race two after being fourth in lap one.
A not too happy Roczen commented: “Today was pretty frustrating and I’m definitely disappointed. This is the first time I’ve raced for Germany at the Motocross of Nations in a long time and I didn’t deliver the results I was expecting to. I shouldn’t be out there getting those results The conditions weren’t ideal at all, but I also just struggled all weekend with the bike setup. Either way, I’m happy to be leaving healthy and wrapping up this season. I’m looking forward to refining and building for 2019.”
