Riders quotes: Gajser and Oslen on their British MXGP qualifying wins

Gajser: I really enjoyied it today, the track was really nice, amazing. The qualifying went okay, I got a horrible start because I spin on the grate, I could make some passes in the beginning of the race then I got stuck behind Jeremy (Seewer), I couldn’t pass him, when I passed him I tried to close the gap to Tony, we pushed really hard to the end, he made a mistake in the last lap and I could go in front, so yeah really happy to win and I look forward tomorrow.

For me and my family it’s a really important day, (tomorrow is the anniversary of the death of Tim’s brother), it’s an honour to wear that number. I am really looking forward to tomorrow’s races, I will give my best, I need decent starts, it’s going to be really important, then ride like I know.

Olsen: I think I was around fifth or sixth at the start and I just started moving my way up, trying to make quick passes. I rode a pretty good race, I felt a little tight in some places but it was pretty consistent laps so I am happy about that, it’s always nice to get a qualifying win.

I’ve been here a couple of times with the Europeans and stuff, it’s always an amazing track, it’s nice to go out and throw a couple of whips and stuff and just have fun in practice. I’m really enjoying it out here.

On his aggressive battle with Jacobi: “I think he made a little bit of a crazy move and we kind of hit before the big quad, I was not too happy about it but I talked to him already about it and it’s a racing incident. I think it’s just the 250 class in the qualifying motos! I felt pretty comfortable out there, I feel really good this year and a I am looking forward to continuing this good feeling.”
