Whats happening guys?

It’s Brad Todd, for those of you that are having a read up of my column and don’t know who I am or where I’ve came from.

I am a 21 year old professional motocross rider for Ifly JK racing Yamaha from Wigton in Cumbria. I have been competing in the Maxxis British championship in MX2 for little over 4 years and I am just beginning to start my European journey.

Ive been slowly improving each year! Last season in 2017 I achieved some of my goals on getting my first British MX2 podium. I then managed to get the opportunity to race a European championship round in Italy at Trentino, (emx250) I qualified 2nd. The first race I was battling for 2nd but unfortunately made tumble which caused a 13th. The second race was a first corner crash which was a shame, but all in all i enjoyed the experience and I am so grateful I got the opportunity with Planet Advanced Racing Suspension!

It then opened the door to getting pursued from a team like the Ifly JK Yamaha to ride the full EMX250 championship on the YZ250f in 2018. I then raced after the final British round 2017 a MX2 Grand Prix in France. Since then I have had lots of opportunities abroad riding and racing. The latest was bologna motor show in Italy, which I managed to take the number 1 spot on the podium in front of Alessandro Lupino and Alvin Ostlund.

I then set my eyes on preparing for the 2018 season, unfortunately I had a accident and broke my C6 vertebrae on December the 13th 2017. I’ve been super lucky to have such a great team that is being completely supportive, helping me get fit and healthy for my return in the 2018 season. They have been making sure I have the best people around me to get the bone healed as quick and as best as possible.

I am still able to hit my training full on, although not being on a bike sucks, I’m still enjoying training and cannot wait to get stuck in on the riding and get my bike fitness back and show everyone what results I am capable of.  I will be looking to race the remainder British rounds and European rounds.

I look forward to keeping you guys posted on what goes on in the future!
