Results: Paris supercross night one!

It was a great night of racing in Paris that began when Marvin Musquin took the superpole win from Cole Seely and Dean Wilson but all three were only separated by four hundredths of a second!

And he also didn’t have it all his own way in the opening sprint race!

At just five minutes plus one lap Marvin MUsquin and Dean Wilson had a battle royal with Cole Seely right in tow in superb first moto battle. But having looked like he had kept Wilson at bay, Musquin then got off line in the dragon’s back and went off the track handing the win to the aggressive Wison! Seely couldn’t quite get through on Musquin and had to settle for third.

The moto prompted Musquin’s trainer Aldon Baker to say, “Marvin made too many mistakes – he’s better than that!”

In the second sprint Musquin took the holeshot with Seely right behind and Osborne in third. Seely pressured Musquin for the first few laps, especially in the whoops, before Musquin inched away to take a mistake-free win. Wilson got Osborne for third with Soubeyras stick right with the two AMA supercross riders for fifth.

Marvin Musquin grabbed the holeshot from Zach Osborne but it wasn’t good news for Cole Seely who went down and had to come from the back of the pack. Zach Osborne kept Musquin honest for a while before the French fan favourite slowly pulled away to take a very popular win and gave the crowd a heel-clicker to celebrate!

Osborne had his best performance of the night with a very good second with Dean Wilson on the podium again in third. Seely eventually made it back to fourth after a good battle with Cedric Soubeyras who finished fifth.
