Results: MX2 Turkish MXGP

There was drama in MX2 as Jorge Prado went for the pass on race leader and championship rival Pauls Jonass that left Jonass controversially on the eck and Prado off the track!

Thomas Covington took the lead and the win with Hunter Lawrence chasing him in second and Prado third. Jonass ended up a frustrated sixth.

In race two Pauls Jonass took the win to rebound superbly after the first moto incident after leader Thomas Covington washed the front wheel out with a couple of laps to go underneath pressure from a determined Jonass. Covington remounted in third to take the overall win.

Covington said he wanted a win before he left the series and he will miss MXGP when he goes home to the states next year and has enjoyed being able to ride his bike all over the world.

Meanwhile Prado had a subdued race going from second to seventh.
