Mike Kras took the overall victory in Mantova after wining a dry race one on Saturday then taking second in race two after a tough battle with championship leader and eventual second moto winner Brad Anderson.
It was a blistering race two for Anderson, who after coming from last in race one to to 13th after a first turn crash and a handlebar in the ribs, was leading race two until Willems made an aggressive pass on Ando and the Brit hit the deck!
Anderson remounted in third with Kras and Willems ahead and reeled the pair of the them in! He barged his way by title rival Kras before getting Willems to re-take the lead but Kras wasn’t done. The dutchman got back on the back wheel of Anderson again and tried to punt Anderson out of the way but the Brit was having none of it and refused to budge, hanging onto the lead and the win to get on the podium in third and maintain his championship lead.
It was a great weekend for Brad Todd who also was on the box with a 2-4 score for second overall.
