Radical new youth format for Arenacross UK

Radical new youth format for Arenacross UK

The Arenacross Tour is well revered for its market-leading indoor race series that offers young racers from the age of seven, the opportunity to race on the same stage as some of the best Pro riders from around the world.

For the 2019 Tour, the organising team behind Arenacross has taken the youth race-night format to a new level by introducing ground-breaking changes which will see 24 invited riders, across two groups, enjoy the factory-racer lifestyle. Twelve riders will be selected for the all-new Arenacross Supermini Cup – a one-make series on identical 85cc machinery, whilst another twelve lucky wannabe superstars will be given a similar experience in the Arenacross Electric Power Cup – a one-make electric-bike class to replace the Youth 65cc.

The Supermini Cup will present a massive opportunity to twelve talented young riders whereby race-ready machines and kit will be taken to each race of the series. Each bike will be professionally prepped, and individually set up for each rider, by the manufacturer, and the whole operation will be housed within, and work out of, a professional Supermini Pit at each event. No longer will these young AX superstars be reliant on mum and dad to buy, prep and maintain their race steeds as, for the 2019 Arenacross Tour, they simply need to rock up, get kitted up, go out and win. If that’s not enough, an high-value prize will be presented to the winner at the end of the series.

The Electric Power Cup, for riders aged seven-to-10 years will follow similar lines to the Supermini Cup but on single-make, matching electric bikes. This revolutionary move sets Arenacross apart, making it the first-ever series to create an electric-only class in motocross racing. Entries for both the Supermini and Electric Power Cup entries will be taken via an application process on the Arenacross website.

Arenacross Tour tickets are on sale now, with prices from just £12 for a child visitor on Friday evenings and substantial discounts for two-night tickets. Arena doors will open at 6pm, with the opening ceremony getting underway at 7.30pm.
