Race Results: Spanish Championship RD1!

The Spanish Motocross Championship got underway at the weekend.

In the 125cc class, Eddie Jay Wade had his first race since moving up from the 85cc and things got off to the perfect start as he won the first moto of the weekend. He couldn’t do the same in moto too so Mario Lucas Sanz won the overall on the day but Jay Wade can be happy with second overall. Spanish talent, Oriol Oliver rounded of the podium on his Jezyk Racing KTM.

In the MX2 class Iker Larranaga got his season underway to a perfect start by going 1-1. EMX250 rider, Adrien Malaval was solid on his DIGA-Procross Husqvarna to end up second overall. It was Simeo Ubach who took up the last step on the podium.

Current champ, Jose Butron proved that it’s going to be hard to stop him winning the title this year again as he went 1-1 in the moto’s. Harry Kullas ended up second overall which was a solid day for him. Ausio Yamaha rider, Jorge Zaragoza secured third overall as he prepares for the MX2 World Championship but rides a 450cc in Spain.
