After overnight thunderstorms the EMX125 riders faced a completely different track on Sunday as it turned into a mud race.
One rider that looked at home in the tough conditions was Mattia Guadagnini and he won the second moto to clinch the overall victory. That’s the Italian’s second overall win on the bounce.
Plenty of top riders fell victim in the second moto due to the conditions and the biggest name to go out was championship leader Rene Hofer.
On the last lap Thibault Benistant fell victim and it looked like that ruined any chance of a podium. However, as he completed more laps than some of the riders circulating, despite not finishing he still got classified in sixth which meant he sill ended up second overall.
Benistant wasn’t the only French rider on the box as Florian Miot ended up third overall.
