Race report: Cairoli unbeaten at Ottobiano

Tony Cairoli continued his impressive start to the season at a very rough and very cold Ottobiano by winnning both motos despite some stiff competition.

In race one Romain Febvre and Tim Gajser led the way for 15 minutes with Cairoli falling off the pace a bit in fourth before passing Brian Bogers for third and then charging to the front in the last five minutes.

Just before the 2 lap board Cairoli pushed Febvre out of the a rut with intent and pulled away to take the win as former race leader Tim Gajser lost touch a bit in third after Cairoli had made his way by a lap before.

Jorge Prado had earlier won MX2 from Calvin Vlaanderen and an impressive Maxine Renaux in third.
