Race report and results: Stuttgart SX – Saturday

The US boy Ryan Breece crowned himself with the day’s victory on Saturday and a second place on Friday for “King of Stuttgart”. Dominique Thury was left disappointed, with young driver Paul Haberland winning the “Prince of Stuttgart” in the SX2 with a strong performance.

Ryan Breece crowned himself the “King of Stuttgart” on Saturday night at the 37th ADAC Supercross Stuttgart. The 24-year-old American won the “Night of Revenge” on Saturday, earning him the overall victory along with an outstanding second place finish on Friday. In the final statement he distanced himself from Charles Lefrancois (France), who had completely dominated the previous day. In third place followed with Carlen Gardner another US boy. The places four to seven were also occupied by drivers from France and the USA.
Ryan Breece from Coeur d’Alene (Idaho) was overjoyed at the award ceremony in front of some 8,100 spectators in the sold-out Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle: “I’ve always believed in myself, that’s why I’m here today. A big thank you to my team and especially the great fans, whose enthusiasm I clearly felt during the race. I’m looking forward to next year.”

For the only German starter in the SX1 class, the 37th ADAC Supercross Stuttgart did not go as hoped. Like on Friday Dominique Thury missed the final on the second day too. In the repechage on Saturday he dropped back to third place after a promising start in the course of the race. It was not enough for two seconds to jump into the final.

Haberland cheers the audience

Paul Haberland (Erfurt) won in a gripping race on Saturday evening and thus also took first place in the overall ranking. The start of the “Prince of Stuttgart” was not optimal, but by two or three courageous maneuvers freed the Thuringian from the initial turmoil. After that, the 19-year-old showed an almost flawless performance, especially on the washboard. The only weakness of the evening he made at the award ceremony with a broken champagne cork.
In second place came the Spaniard Prol Ormeno Xurxo, third was Dare Demartile (USA).
Paul Haberland, “Prince of Stuttgart”: “In the beginning I drove very cramped and only in the last laps a little easier. It’s just crazy, I trained hard for that. My team also gave everything. “

South Baden young rider prevails in the SX4

On Saturday evening, the drivers of the SX4 (ages nine to twelve) completed their final race. Born in Bad Säckingen Marvin Vökt (MSC Alemannorum Schweighausen) was the first to cross the finish line. Last year, still in third place, he sat down shortly after the start of the field and did not give his top position to the checkered flag again. On the ranks two and three followed Daniel Ferger (MTC Flehingen) and the Rudersberger Marco Louis Stradinger (MSC Wieslauftal).
On Friday evening local hero Simon Hahn from the KFV Kalteneck in Holzgerlingen drove in the SX5 at the youngest to the very front. The youth classes of the SX4 and SX5 drive only one race at the whole weekend.

La-Ola for the freestylers

With a La Ola wave, the Schleyer-Halle celebrated the freestyle show, which the jumpers Kai Haase, Mat Rebeaud, Alex Porsing and Luc Ackermann fought with flying colors. What seems playful, easy and casual is the result of hard and continuous training work. Particularly well received at the audience the so-called Trains, in which all four drivers in a chain in a row show their tricks.
For the first time, the freestyle spectacle was divided into two parts at the ADAC Supercross Stuttgart: An appearance was made as the mood maker right after the break, the second show was the spectacular end of the evening.
