Qualifying results: Oakland

“The track is super technical and soft in spots,” said Cole Seely who was fastest in first qualifying on his HRC Honda at Oakland.

In fact Seely said it was the first time he had ever been fastest in any session including the 250s!

In the 250s it was Adam Cianciarulo who went quickest and said it could be more of a race against the track tonight instead of the opposition such is the rutted and technical nature of the circuit.

450 Q1

By Q2 it was Justin Barcia who went fastest overall and the Yamaha man could well be a strong favourite for the win tonight! But, like Seely, Barcia said it is easy to get caught  out on the tricky track that requires full conversation.

In contrast Ken Roczen was back in 14th with Chad Reed 21st.

250 Q1
