Prize money announced for British U21 championship

RHL Activities is pleased to announce that the ACU British Under 21
Motocross Championship, which runs within the Judd KTM British
Youth Championship, will have a big prize money pot up for grabs at
the end of the 2019 season.

The Official British Under 21 Championship class plays an important
role for youngsters looking to progress in their careers and it’s set to
be an exciting season of hot competition in 2019. RHL Activities
understands the importance of having this feeder ‘stepping stone’
class for riders to cut their teeth whilst preparing to make the jump into
the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship, and is fully
supportive of ensuring the category is a success. The British Under 21
Championship class will offer a healthy prize fund up for the top eight
riders in the standings at the end of the season, which offers an
increased incentive for riders competing in the series.

Prize money breakdown (end of year)

  1. 2,000
  2. 1,250
  3. 900

Gareth Hockey, Director of RHL Activities:
“I am pleased to see the prize money awarded at the end of the year
for the British Under 21 Championship increased to a £6,000 prize pot.
The British Under 21 Championship is in place for riders making the
transition from youth racing into the Maxxis ACU British Motocross
Championship and EMX Championships, as we understand the huge
challenge for a rider making that step. We look forward to a
competitive season whilst seeing riders progressing and developing
into the future stars of the sport.”
