Pourcel wins night two at Lille but Peick is crowned King!

Weston Peick was crowned King of Lille as Christophe Pourcel gave the home crowd something to cheer with a resounding win on night two.

The main event was the most crash-filled of the night. Shaun Simpson was the first to crash as he jumped spectacularly off the track trying to avoid the fallen Teillet and was unable to continue. Then a fast Dylan Ferrandis flipped over the bars while fourth and this was all on lap one!

Pourcel meanwhile was cruising out front until Webb got into second and started putting the pressure on. Webb was on the back wheel of the Frenchman when he endoed hard in a rhythm section and would end up finishing fifth, after passing who else but Romain Febvre to get into the top five!

It was then Malcom Stewart’s turn to chase down Pourcel but he too bit the dirt, going over the bars in the same corner he collided with his brother the night before!

This left Pourcel to cruise to the win and gave Peick second place and the prestgious King of Lille overall win. Special mention too to Fabien Izoird who finished a solid third and Valentin Guillod who finished a fine fourth for the second night in a row.

James Stewart was a non-starter after his crash last night due to an injured ankle.
