Polisport Group cooperates on manufacturing Medical Visors – COVID-19

Off-road enthusiasts know Polisport of course as a manufacturer of plastics and protective parts for the bike. However, the Portuguese Polisport group also manufactures many other products for the bicycle sector. Responding to the demand for face protection for doctors and care providers, the R&D department came up with a new visor in no time!

On their Youtube channel Polisport reported how they took up this super urgent challenge. As in many countries, it is a huge challenge for Portuguese care workers to find good protection in which they can safely do their work. Because of the experience the company has with bicycle helmets it was a piece of cake for them to produce a functional, protective visor for health care workers.

The basis of this ingenious product are the PVC screens used in bicycle helmets. Polisport wants to protect the people in the front line against the coronavirus as well and as quickly as possible. With this wonderful solidarity action, the company aims primarily at emptying local needs in Portugal.
