Pocock confirms he has no ride for 2019

Mel Pocock did have a deal with the Revo Husqvarna team for the 2019 season to contest the Maxxis British Championship and the EMX250 series. However, when Youthstream announced that an under 23 age rule would be hitting the EMX250 class it’s left the team in a tricky situation.

The Revo team decided to sign Alvin Ostlund to partner Dylan Walsh so they can fully concentrate on the MX2 World Championship. Due to the age rule on the EMX250 class, it’s now resulted in Pocock not having a ride with the team.

It means Pocock currently hasn’t got a ride and there’s not many going in the British paddock either so we’ll just have to wait and see what the future holds for an ex EMX250 champion.

“Still got my head in my hands at the moment about now not having a ride for 2019. Been lucky to jump in with my family business MGP Steel and help out where I can recently. I am in talks with an option for next season but with nothing in place yet for 2019 rides are slim so late in the year. Hope to be on the start line for 2019”, Pocock commented.
