Petr Polak makes the jump to MX2

Petr Polak makes the jump to MX2

For the last three season’s, young Czech talent, Petr Polak has been concentrating on the EMX125 Championship.

For the year ahead, Polak will move up to the 250cc full time. After the EMX125 championship, the normal route for young talents is to make the step up to the EMX250 championship but Polak will make the step up to the MX2 World Championship instead.

Polak will stay with the JD 191 KTM Racing Team as they clearly believe in his talents to offer him the chance of racing the best 250cc riders in the world. The Czech rider will contest the European rounds of the series.

It’s worth pointing out that Polak is no stranger to the 250cc as he rode the bike whilst contesting the ADAC Youngster Cup in 2018.

“Right now myself, Jose Butron and Richard Sikya are in Spain for winter to prepare for the season ahead. The team give me the chance to directly move into the MX2 World Championship and I am really happy about that. In 2019 I will try to gain as much experience as possible and just enjoy it. I’d like to thank my team, JD 191 Gunex KTM Team, Jiří Jankovský, all the members of team, my family and everyone who helps me”, Polak told GateDrop.com
