Olsen update – back training after operation
Thomas Kjer Olsen has released an update saying he is back in training after getting a screw taken out of his hand following a pre-season injury.
Olsen had barely been on the bike in the month leading up to the first round at Matterley Basin and says he rode in pain for the first two rounds but, with the screw out, he is back training and is looking forward to getting back on his bike, this time fully healthy, once the Coronavirus pandemic allows.
Olsen said: “Two weeks ago, I got the screw taken out of my hand, it was causing a lot of pain during the first two MXGP rounds 🔩👨🏼⚕️ Since then, I have been spending a lot of time in the gym to some strength back 🏋🏻 Recovery is going well and I’m looking so much forward to spend some time on the bike again, whenever that will be possible due to corona🦠🛵”
Olsen went seventh overall at the first two Grand Prix events in what was decent damage limitation to his title hopes, but is already 36 points behind championship leader, Tom Vialle.
