Noel Nilsson: Injury update!

Noel Nilsson: Injury update!

Young Swedish talent had been preparing to make his EMX125 debut but unfortunately didn’t make it to round one in Valkenswaard.

Nilsson had a good 2017 season on the 85cc as he finished second in the Junior World Championship behind Eddie Jaywade so it’s going to be interesting to see what he can do on the 125cc.

However, Nilsson crashed in Sweden and has problems with his kidney which still leaves him in hospital to recover. The Husqvarna Motorcycles Scandinavian rider hopes he be back on the bike in 2-3 months time.

The young talent has been working with ex GP and British Championship rider, Rickard Sandberg for the past three years as he hopes to bring the best out of him.

It’s a shame we won’t see him at an EMX125 event for a while but when Nilsson returns to racing he will contest some of the EMX125 series as well as the Dutch and Swedish championships.

Noel Nilsson: “I was practising in Sweden and I had a big crash at a wave section.
We drove to the hospital and did a scan on my stomach, the results showed that I hurt my kidney and also my liver.

At the moment I’m still at the hospital because my kidney is still bleeding. The doctor has told me I have to take it easy for 4-6 weeks and then I can start doing cycling and running again.

I hope to be back on the bike as soon as possible and start racing again in the summer”.
