Ex Grand Prix rider, Nikolaj Larsen has decided to retire from the sport. Larsen can look back on his career with fond memories, especially his time as a World Championship rider.
During his time in the GP’s he was with Beursfoon Suzuki, SRS Honda, 24MX Honda and Standing Construct Suzuki. The Danish rider was always solid and showed some good speed during his GP days.
More recently Larsen has been focusing his racing in the likes of Denmark and German. However, Larsen helped Denmark at the Motocross Des Nations a few weeks ago to finish eleventh overall. It could have been even better of Larsen didn’t hurt himself during the qualifying!
Larsen has now decided to take a step back and retire from racing. He will keep a bike and just ride for fun.
Nikolaj Larsen: “The motivation is just not the same anymore. With having an almost full time job, still trying to do all the training and all the stuff around to be on the level is just very hard. I feel like it’s a good time to take a step back. I will still have a bike and ride, cause I still enjoy riding.”
