Nations qualifying results from RedBud – Netherlands on pole
It was a good day for the Dutch as they qualified on top after day one at RedBud. Herlings came from dead last to third in the MXGP qualifying race whilst Glenn Coldenhoff won the open race which meant they ended up with four points.
Italy were on top heading into the final moto but ended up in second with the French edging out Germany for third.
It was a solid day for team GB as they ended up seventh but will be hoping to be challenge for the podium during the main races tomorrow.
It wasn’t a good day for USA or Belgium as they ended up ninth and thirteenth respectively so they’ll be looking to turn it around tomorrow.
Ireland progress straight through to the final after three solid rides from all three riders so the pressure is now off to qualify.
