It’s recently been announced that the first round of the 2019 MXGP World Championship will be in Argentina after all.
The first round is currently pencilled in for the 9th and 10th of March. However, we’ve heard from a source connected to the GP in Argentina that the first round of the world series will be brought forward to the 2nd and 3rd of March.
It’s still yet to be confirmed but with the last pre-season race taking place in France at Lacapelle on the 24th February it’s less of a wait for the MXGP World Championship to get underway which makes sense.
If the GP is brought forward, it means there will be a three week break until round two which takes place in Matterley Basin.
