Jason Meara knows all about the highs and lows of motocross. After a tough winter that saw him break his wrist badly, his career was in question but a few months on things couldn’t be going any better!
After a career high third place in a British championship moto at Desertmartin, Jason has now signed a full time deal with the Phoenix Tools Kawasaki for 2020, after impressing as a fill-in rider recently when Gert Krestinov got injured.
The talented Loughbrickland rider is also on Ireland’s MXoN team to cap what has been a fantastic rookie 450 season after years of success in Ireland in MX2.
Jason commented on social media on his big opportunity: “First of all I would like to thank every single person who has helped me through my career to get to this point big and small it all made the difference to get me racing! Also to my mum and dad my sponsors from day 1 without your financial help week in week out I couldn’t even have made it to the races half the time for that I’ll be forever grateful 👏
“Secondly, I couldn’t be happier with the deal Phoenix Tools Apico Kawasaki, British Championship Motocross Team has given me for next year! Such an awesome vibe about the team and the guys are every bit as passionate about racing as I am. I look forward to the future with you guys! #10”
