Mathys Boisrame – EMX250 Champ

Assomotor Honda rider, Mathys Boisrame has secured the 2018 EMX250 Championship with a round to go. The French rider had a good weekend in Bulgaria finishing 2-1 to secure the overall and the championship to go with it.

His title rival, Mel Pocock had his problems in the first race after hitting the back of Dylan Walsh and having a bike problem after the incident meaning he had to DNF the moto.

Fifty points separate the pair but the French rider has six moto wins compared to Pocock’s two which means the French rider can’t be caught no matter what happens at the final round in Assen.

It was Brian Moreau who put on a great show during the first moto as he won by a comfortable margin. Unfortunately, he had a bike problem in the second moto which meant he had to DNF.

Tom Vialle who’s recently signed with the LRT KTM team secured second overall with Roan van de Moosdijk rounding off the podium with a third overall.

It was a tough weekend for Martin Barr after finishing fourteenth in the first moto. The Revo Husqvarna rider got a good start in the second moto but then crashed on the first lap and could only comeback to twenty-first.  Roan van de Moosdijk has now moved up to third in the championship as a result.
