It promised to be a good season for Morgan Lesiardo in 2018 after he clinched the EMX250 title in 2017. However, things haven’t gone according to plan during his rookie year in the MX2 World Championship.
Lesiardo signed with the Marchetti KTM team and has only picked up thirty-four championship points. The Italian would have expected much more in his rookie season in MX2 after winning the EMX250 series last year. The team and Lesiardo have now mutually agreed to part company.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for the Italian and if he’ll secure another MX2 World Championship ride or he’ll contest the EMX250 series again. He’ll want to rebound in 2019 to unlock his potential.
