Italian rider, Michael Mantovani spent the 2017 season with the SM-Action Yamaha team but inked a deal with the Ghidinelli team for this year. However, after recently splitting with the new team in the paddock, Mantovani has reached an agreement with the SM-Action Yamaha team were he’ll end the season.
The SM-Action Yamaha team have been hit with injuries to Maxime Renaux, Alessandro Manucci and Alvin Ostlund which means they’ve taken the decision to draft Mantovani back into the team.
Mantovani will race the remaining rounds of the EMX250 Championship for the team.
Michael Mantovani: “The results at the beginning of the season were not great so I split with the Ghidinelli team and I want to say thanks to them for the first 6 months of work. I also want to thank SM-Action Yamaha as they give me the opportunity to rejoin the team after the 2017 season where we already worked together perfectly. Now we hope to make a good end of the season.”
