Unfortunately, young Geartec Husqvarna rider, Luke Norris has picked up an injury.
Norris came up short on a jump and as a result has dislocated a bone in his wrist which means he will have an operation later today (Friday).
He will also need to have another operation later next week to fix the ligaments and other bones in his wrist. It’s a shame as this was the young riders first full season on the 450cc but hopefully he won’t be out of action for too long.
It hadn’t been an ideal start to the season for Norris as he was dealing with an illness at the first round of the Maxxis British Championship which meant he had to pull out of proceedings and now to make matters worse he’s dislocated a bone in his wrist.
Norris posted the following update on social media:
“Came up short today on a jump and dislocated a bone in my wrist.. gotta have surgery tonight to put it back in and another surgery next week to fix the ligaments and other bones in my wrist.. gutted is an understatement, hopefully won’t be out for too long”.
