Lorenzo Locurcio to the MX2 world championship with Bud racing?

Supercross rider Lorenzo Locurcio, who finished in 13th in the 250 class at Daytona, will be switching to the world motocross championship to race for Bud racing, according to Steve Matthes and FLY racing’s Jason Thomas on the Daytona race review show.

“Lorenzo Locurcio is done in America, he is going to MX2,”announced host Steve Matthes.

“I saw that, Bud racing,” contributed Thomas, “He will be at Matterley Basin for the next MXGP round, I think that will be difficult, it will be tougher before it gets easier, those guys are the in the swing of it already and he has been riding supercross, I think it’s going to be tough early.”

It has been a tough start to the year for passionate Bud racing squad with Brian Hsu injured before Argentina and Brian Moreau breaking his arm in Argentina. A difficult pill to swallow for both the talented riders and the team so early in the season.

Now Locurcio has a big chance to show what he can do on the world stage in motocross on very competitive equipment – but it’s going to be a big adjustment from US supercross over the next couple of weeks!
