Lieber happy to end season on a high

2018 marked Julien Lieber’s rookie year in the MXGP World Championship after moving up from the 250cc. The Belgian started the season well and ended it well which was pleasing to see.

The Factory Kawasaki rider had a mid season dip in form due to riding with an injury but overall had a good rookie season in the MXGP World Championship ending up eleventh in the series.

Lieber had only signed a one year deal with the Kawasaki Racing Team but he impressed so much that he’s secured himself another deal with the team to make sure he’ll stay where he is for the 2019 season.

The Belgian posted the following message regarding his season:

Happy to have ended the 2018 season on a good note in Italy with a 4th overall. Despite the knee injury last winter, I had a good season with both ups and downs finishing the season as 11th in the championship classification. I wanted to say thanks to my team for all the hard work they put in this year. Truly thankful for having @yvesdemaria and @lovemytraining along the way. Last but not least, thanks to the sponsors and to the ones, who have supported me throughout the year. @kawasakimxgp @monsterenergy @lovemytraining @bell_powersports @scottmotosports @alpinestars @thormxofficial #2018 #mxgp @haudik57
