Liam Knight who had a great 2018 season finishing fourth in the MX2 British Championship has high hopes to be even better this season.
However, the first round of the British Championship didn’t go to plan because he got ill coming into the event. After a blood test it’s been revealed that he’s suffering with glandular fever.
Despite that, Knight still had a solid first round of the series ending up eighth overall. The Verde KTM rider will hope to get back to 100% soon for even better results.
Knight posted the following message on social media:

It’s been a tough few weeks, before Sherwood I was really ill, blood test results showed I’ve got glandular fever, so today the plan was just to get as many points as I can, a 9th and 10th for 8th overall today. Now I’m going to try get as much rest as possible and will miss the emx at matterly to try get healthy for the next British championship round🤙🏻 Huge thanks to the whole @verdesportsracing team for everything! 📷- @mlp_71 @evotech_racing @apicofactoryracing @officialleatt @formaboots @oakleyridersuk @talonengineering @poaracing @mxben711 @pod_active
