The sensational Jett Lawrence rode two superb final motos of his EMX2 career to win both motos and go out of Europe in style at just 15 before he heads to the US next year, where he will have to race amateurs for Geico Honda despite being ready for MX2!
The young Aussie looks to set to be the next superstar of the sport in the states if injuries and American lifestyle distractions don’t get in the way!
Lawrence said: “I got my first holeshot which makes it a lot easier and I got my flow. I stayed thinking about myself and my own lines and raced my own race, my goal was to do this and luckily did it at the last round.”
It was a frustrating weekend for Martin Barr who lost third in the championship by a point to Roan Van Moosdijk after yet another bad start had Barr pulling through the field to ninth.
Barr battled Moosdijk, who said he got a small injury two weeks before the race, all moto through the field but then Mel Pocok went into bat for his teammate messing with Roan and losing the Dutchman a few positions but Barr just couldn’t get the extra pass he needed to claim third in the championship.
