Lancelot: Hard way to learn my new job as Team Manager!

The MXGP tour was on the famous German track last weekend. Always really hard pack and rutted, this is the condition that fits really well Hunter Lawrence. Ready to show that he was feeling good after 2 days on the bike the week before the race, he finally won’t enter track in Germany. The Medical staff decided he was unfit to ride after his crash in Latvia. Since there was no EMX250 round this week end, we gave the chance to Freek Van Der Vlist, From Honda Carglass to perform this week end in MX2. He was riding better and better Saturday and showing a big motivation. Unfortunately he will be taken in a collision with several riders right after the start in qualification race. This is where the week end of Team Honda 114 Motorsports will end.

Hunter has now 2 weeks to keep working and he will be back 100% for England, while Bas Vaessen will be back on the bike next week end and should be back Racing in St Jean.
We Wish Freek a good recovery and hopefully back as soon as possible for his EMX250 season.

Livia Lancelot: “I can’t believe it honestly, this is a hard way to learn my new job as Team Manager, despite all our efforts this is the 3rd week end in a row that we don’t even race actually, we had no idea that Hunter wouldn’t be allowed to race this week end, and off course we never thought that Freek’s Week-end could finish that fast. But it is racing, I know how it works. We are now back to work at the Team, Hunter is feeling good and Bas will start riding soon, I can’t wait to have 2 riders again behind the Gate ! I really wish Freek a good recovery, and I would like to thanks him for the week end , it was a pleasure to work with him, I’m sad that he didn’t have the time to show his potential”

Freek Van Der Vlist: “The week started with a dream coming true, i was very motivated and excited to show what I could do. I was a bit nervous on saturday morning but i went in to the track with a big smile on my face, i was a bit stiff on the bike but I made as many laps as possible. After some changes on the bike i was already feeling better in time practice i didn’t had a perfect lap but i was feeling good for the qualifying race. I had a good jump from the gate but went of the track in the second corner and lost some places, unfortunately i came together with another rider in the first lap which ended in a big crash. At first I thought I lost only my breath but soon after I went back into the track I felt a lot of pain in my back. After a x-ray they found a little compression fracture between my c4 and c5. really disappointed to ended the weekend like this. I really want to thank Livia and the team for this big opportunity and i feel sad for them that i couldn’t finish the weekend for them. I hope i get another opportunity to show my potential. Thanks to a great team for a great experience!!!!!
