KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas to restart production

Following the COVID-19 crisis, Pierer Mobility entered a production break for its brands KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas. However, the largest European engine manufacturer is now ready to restart production in Austria. Motorcycles will be assembled again in Mattighofen from Monday 11 May.

From May 18, the production chain should return to full speed. Reportedly, that pause was a necessity because the Italian suppliers had stopped. Now that all 3,800 employees can return to full-time employment, everyone is looking to the future again.

n a press release, Pierer Mobility commented positively on the prospects. The sales figures in Scandinavia and countries such as Austria, Germany and China, where the motorcycle dealers are open (again), make us optimistic. In addition, it is expected that, due to the COVID 19-related measures, motorized two-wheelers will become increasingly important for passenger transport.
