Kjell Verbruggen leaves BT Racing
According to Motocrossplanet.nl, young Dutch talent, Kjell Verbruggen has left the Jumbo No Fear BT Racing team which means he’ll sign with a new team for the 2020 season.
It’s still to be confirmed what Verbruggen plans will be and if he stays with the 125cc for another season or makes the jump up to the 250cc.
It was a good season for Verbruggen racing in the Netherlands as he won the Dutch ONK 125cc Championship and finished runner up in the 125cc Dutch Masters class missing out on the title to Kay de Wolf.
Results didn’t go the way verbruggen would have wanted in the EMX125 championship though as he ended up eleventh in the championship – he’d have to run at the front on a more regular basis.
As for the Jumbo No Fear BT Racing team, they’ve confirmed Raf Meuwissen to contest the EMX250 series in 2019 and will also keep Scott Smulders for his second season in the EMX125 class. The team are also expected to make one more signing for the 2020 season.
