Julien Lieber update – brutal sport
During the MXGP of Germany, Julien Lieber was probably having his best race in the MXGP class as he made a number of passes and was sitting in second behind Tim Gajser.
Unfortunately, the Belgian crashed and fractured his elbow which required surgery. As a result, the Belgian has been ruled out of the Indonesian MXGP races and it remains to be seen when he’ll make his return to racing.
It’s a big blow for Lieber as he doesn’t know how the crash happened, he didn’t even make a mistake!
“Hi everyone. Just wanted to give you an update after the crash I had in Teutschental 3 weeks ago – I fractured my elbow and underwent surgery the day after. Unfortunately, it will take some time to heal, which is why I won’t be racing the next couple of GPs . I’m really disappointed about it because I felt better and better on the bike and I don’t understand how the crash happened as I didn’t make any mistake. This is part of the sport but sometimes it can be brutal . Thanks to my team @kawasakiracingteammxgp and all the people who support me”, Lieber commented on social media.
